The Safari Continues…
On Safari in North Borneo with Martin and Osa
Johnson, a
proposed exhibition dedicated to the life achievements of these
intrepid explorers, authors, aviators, and pioneer wildlife filmmakers, has
been designed for the Sandakan Heritage Museum (Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia). This exhibition was co-curated by Stella Moo of the Sabah
Museum (Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia) and Jacquelyn Borgeson of the Martin
and Osa Johnson Safari Museum. It
is the result of the Sabah-Safari Museums International Partnership Among
Museums 2004 Exchange Grant Award. The
exhibition will be built and the photographs reproduced for public display as
funding is found.
How You Can Support the Safari…
Funding for the construction of the exhibition and the
reproduction of Johnson photographs within it is not covered by the Exchange
Grant and is desperately needed to make this project a reality.
If you know of an agency or corporation who could underwrite
components of this exhibition, please email!
either Stella Moo or Jacquelyn
Borgeson. Private donations
would be greatly appreciated and may be sent to:
